Dena the Queen‑a: From Barn Life to Best Life

Dena is a 3.5 year‑old Mini Goldendoodle, weighing in at a perfect 30 pounds of gentle sweetness. She’s not just any doodle — she’s the proud mama of The Ten, her adorable squad of little doods who keep their foster home buzzing with chaos, cuddles, and comedy. Dena’s story didn’t start the way any dog deserves. She spent her early years living in a barn used for breeding, with no real chance of being a loved family member. When we picked her up, we had a feeling she might be pregnant — and sure enough, she was.

But that chapter is closed now.
Her new life has already begun.

Blossoming in Foster Care

Dena has adjusted quickly to home life, and now that her mama duties are nearly done, she’s blooming even more. She adores other dogs and truly thrives with a canine companion — having another dog gives her comfort, confidence, and joy. She has always lived with other dogs and we would love for her to continue this. She’s also perfectly fine with cats.

She loves being outside and takes her watchdog role very seriously… even the birds get a warning announcement from Queen Dena. She isn’t leash trained yet, so a fully fenced yard (no invisible fences) is required for her safety.

What She’s Learning

• Housetraining: Coming along nicely. She used potty pads during pregnancy and nursing, so please expect a little adjustment time.
• Crate trained: Yes!
• Smart & food‑motivated: Treats are the way to her heart.
• Grooming: Professionally groomed a couple of times — a bit nervous, but she did well.
• Mill dog traits: She still shows a few, but she’s so close to leaving that past behind.

Ready for Her Real Life

Dena is gentle, sweet, observant, and incredibly resilient. She’s almost there — almost fully confident, almost fully healed, almost fully ready to step into the life she always deserved. With patience, love, and another friendly dog by her side, her past will fade into a distant memory.

Her next chapter is going to be beautiful.

Dena is now spayed, up to date on core vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm.  Her adoption fee is $475
