11/30 - Update:  Cricket is really becoming quite the little dog from the scared little girl she was when we first met her!  She is still shy around new people so she will need time to and patience to adjust to any new situation.  Another dog will help her know what to do and it is important that she have one in her new home.  Cricket is still not leash trained and will need a fenced yard.  She has always had one and loves to be outside - just loves it.  Crick likes to be pet and groomed, something she never got a lot of before!  She is playful, especially with the other dogs.  She is very affectionate and sweet too - she loves to sit with me on the couch!  Cricket is still learning to trust new people so they have to go slow with her.  She has all the potential in the world, she just needs a loving new home that will give her a little to adjust and she will be a good little girl!  Her housetraining is coming along, but we are home all day and let her outside as much as she wants.  She will need reinforcement in any new environment.  I am working with her and crate training and we are taking it slow but she is accepting it.  I would suggest the wire crate so she can see where she is and feel more comfortable.  Cricket does not mind the cats unless of course the other dogs are playing with them!  She likes other dogs very much and she really likes her foster mom!  I hope Cricket can find a new mom for Christmas!!

There have been a lot little dogs who touched my heart and I can easily add Cricket to the list.  This little girl has had quite a life and is ready to settle into a new home.
Cricket was rescued from a hoarder's home where there were dogs and birds and lots and lots of 'stuff'.  Cricket was rescued with her father who she was very attached to.  Due to their poor condition of their coats and weight, we think they were surviving on bird food!    Unfortunately they were split up and she was very sad.  Cricket is still a little shy with new people, she just hasn't been around them enough to trust.  But she is very sweet and affectionate once she does trust you and you could not ask for a sweeter girl.  Cricket really needs a home with at least one other dog to socialize with - we are going to be firm with that.  She should also have a fenced yard to make the transition easier for her.

Cricket is learning to play with the other dogs and really loves to be with them.  She does not mind the cats either.  Cricket will need some time to learn to trust a new family as she is shy right now - but I think she will be a great little dog with some Patience and love!  Please consider Cricket - she could really use a happy ending!!
