Casey

Casey, our little Westie is ready for her forever home! Kacey is another recent breeder release. And we have to say, this little lady is practically perfect. She has the softest, silkiest fur we have ever felt on a Westie.

Casey is a wonderful little girl. She gets along great with everyone she meets, from kids to adults. We have recently found that Casey is more shy and reserved when it comes to men. She seems to follow the lead of the other dogs in the home. If they like the man, she will as well. For this reason, we are requiring that Casey go to a home with another dog. Casey gets along well with other dogs and enjoys playing with them, but it short-lived. A slightly older dog would be best for her. A dog who is past the puppy stage, and is confident around others. Someone who will help guide Casey in the journey of life. Just be aware, that Casey has a lot of love to give her people. She is always with them.  Casey will climb up the ramp in her foster her to get as close to possible to her foster family. And she gives them the most gentle kisses. As soon as her mom moves, so does Casey. She is always right behind her mom. Sometimes she will even walk between her legs, so you do need to be aware of where Casey, so you don’t trip over her. At night Casey is in bed right night to her family. She has a lot of love to give and would like to share it with you.

Casey is crate trained and leash trained. She has done excellent on her house training too! Of course accidents are excepted as she learns a new routine. Casey is smart and eager to please, so once she learns you routine, the house training will come easily for her. Keep in mind she does have a fenced in yard in here foster home. If you are using a leash to potty her, it may take Casey just a little bit longer to figure it out. Casey hates to be left alone, she wants to go everywhere she can with her family. For this reason we do feel a home with someone who is home a lot would be best. If you want to take her places, no worries, Casey is great in the car. Of course if you leave for the afternoon, Casey can handle that, it would just be best to crate her. Casey has been know to knock down gates, and climb on things she’s not supposed to, to look for her family when they leave. She will also cry and pace when you first leave, if not crated. Based on that behavior we do not think she should be placed in an apartment.

Casey is excited to explore her new found freedom. She would make a great addition to almost any home. All she wants is the love of her family. People who will pet her and snuggle her and let her rest her head on their couch pillows. If you think Casey is a match for you, make sure you apply today. This little honey will be sure to find a home quickly.

Casey is spayed, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, and tested neg. for heartworm.  Her adoption fee is $450
