This dapper fellow is Hunter!  Hunter is 5 yrs old and weighs 10 pounds.  He is a wirehair dachshund.  Hunter spent his entire life in the puppy mills of Ohio where he was just a number used for breeding.  Hunter is now on the way to be a pet for someone special!

Hunter is still a little shy and skittish but he is eager to be loved and pet.  He is learning to walk on the leash.  He is crate trained.  Hunter likes to be outside so a fenced yard would be nice.  He is good with other dogs and another small one in his future home would be nice but not required.  Older kids are fine - too much action makes him nervous though.  Hunter is working on his housetraining so he will need time and patience as he learns. 

Hunter is now neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, dewormed and has been given a dental.  His adoption fee is $275, please apply on our website if you are interested!

  •  We will call your vet's office for a reference - you must call them and give permission to release information to Pixie Mamas Rescue.

  • All animals breeds & ages are 'to our best our knowledge'

  • We DO NOT adopt out of state (including Canada) OR over 1 1/2 hours away from Buffalo, NY. NO exceptions. Please do not apply. (Any travel IN our adoption area is at the discretion of the foster home.)
