This cute little thing is Daisy May - a 1 year old dachshund/yorkie mix!  Yes - A Dorkie!!  She is a tiny little thing, only 8 pounds.  Very sweet and playful, typical puppy.  Daisy has the features and body of a doxie but the coat of a yorkie - very long.  She was matted and dirty when she came to us and needed to be shaved down.  But please expect a long coat when it grows out!!

Daisy is already crate trained.  We are working on her leash training but it will need work when she gets to her new home.  A fenced yard may be best for her at this point.  Daisy is doing well with her housetraining but please expect some accidents as she adjusts in her new home.  She will need consistency in her training and a good routine like her foster mom has started with her!  Daisy is playful and fun with the other dogs - she loves to run and be chased!  She is happy outside too.  She is good with cats.  Daisy will be fine with kids as long as they are respectful of her small size.  She will be a nice little family dog or a wonderful companion to someone who needs a friend! 

Daisy May is now spayed, up to date with vaccines, heartworm tested neg, microchipped, flea/worm treated AND has been groomed!  Her adoption fee is $325 - this will help with our hospice dogs and the not so highly adoptable little ones that stay in our rescue for long periods.  And she is a Dorkie!  How cute is THAT!
