3/20 - Maddie is still looking for her perfect home!  Bailey was adopted and Maddie was sad for a day or two but soon found the new puppies in the house and is doing just fine now.  This little one is going to need a fenced yard as she loves to run and play outside.  It will also keep her going forward with her housetraining which is coming along very well!  Maddie is super friendly and playful, she should have another young dog or someone home alot to keep her busy and out of trouble!  She would love to have kids and a yard to play in!  Maddie is a young pup and she cannot be crated all day - only a few hours at a time.  She will not do well in an apartment because of the beagle in her - she will bark (all dogs do!!) and beagles are known for their 'big bark'.  Please consider this wonderful little dog if you think your home would be a good fit for her.  She is certainly a special dog saved from the brink of death by a cruel puppy mill!

3/2 - update on the sisters!
Bailey and Maddie are having so much fun running in the yard and playing in the snow!  Now that they are out of the cage that they lived in full time their whole lives and having a blast!  Both are doing amazingly well with their housetraining for only being here such a short time.  They also use papers too.  We are crate training and that is also going well.  Both girls are happy go lucky little ones that are enjoying their new lives!

Maddie was saved from a puppy mill with her sister Bailey.  The miller was trying out a new 'designer dog' by breeding a beagle and Caviler King Charles Spaniel (like a 'puggle') but the results were not what he wanted and he deemed them not cute enough to sell.  He was ready to 'get rid of them' and in the nick of time gave them to a shelter. Now these little girls are living in a foster HOME - and they are doing great!  Both were shy at first but Maddie came out of her shell fast!  She is a fun little girl, already playing with toys and the other dogs.  She has quickly learned stairs and is understanding why she needs to be outside.  She loves her sister and snuggles in with Bailey when she naps.  These little girls are a mix of two wonderful breeds, both good family dogs.  We are estimating them to be around 20 lbs full grown.  Both girls have the Cav face and coloring but the beagle body and coat.  They are affectionate, eager to please and sweet as can be! They will be in foster care for a little while but if you are interested in adopting either (or both!) please fill out an application.
