Meet Sully! This charming Shih Tzu mix is about 2 years old and weighs 19 pounds. Sully made his way to us from Texas, where he was found as a stray and needed some serious TLC. He was severely matted, with skin issues and heartworm positive, but thanks to our amazing rescue partners in Texas, he has received the care he needed and is now ready for a fresh start in Buffalo!

Sully is such a sweet boy, and you can tell he’s grateful for this second chance! He’s looking and feeling fantastic and is eager to find his forever home. Sully loves to go for walks and is leash trained, so you can enjoy some nice outings together, exploring the neighborhood. While he doesn’t require a fenced yard, a little outdoor time soaking up the sun is always a bonus! He is recently neutered so he will need some reinforcement with housetraining in his new home so please expect some adjustment time. 

He’s also crate trained and has a habit of putting himself to bed, which is just adorable. Sully loves the freedom to come and go in and out of his crate when he wants. He is a great little sidekick in the car—he's always up for a ride! He gets along well with other dogs but would be perfectly happy to be the only pup in your home. He’s also indifferent toward the cats in his foster home, though they don’t interact much.

Sully likes attention and enjoys being petted and brushed, especially since he didn’t get much of that in his previous life. We're making sure to shower him with love! He’s food motivated and takes treats like a gentleman, which is just too cute.

One thing to keep in mind is that Sully will need regular grooming to keep his coat looking fabulous. Also, since he was treated for heartworm, he’ll need monthly prevention for the rest of his life. Sully is neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped and flea/worm treated.  He was also professionally groomed.  His adoption fee is $475

We require that a martingale collar be used at the time of adoption. If you do not have a martingale collar, you can purchase one from Pixie Mamas for an additional $10. This requirement is in place to ensure the dog's safety and security.
