Meet Haribo Gummy Bear, also known as Harry! Harry is a 10-year-old Pomeranian that we took in from a local shelter over the summer.  Although we noticed he was a bit overweight, we didn't know that he had a severe grade 6 heart murmur. After several months of treatment and care, our vet recommended that Harry be kept in hospice care for the remainder of his life. We have no idea how long that may be, but his foster parent is happy to keep him and is doing everything possible to keep him comfortable.

Since Harry cannot exercise, it has been a slow process to get his weight down. He enjoys his food a little too much, and he has a particular love for chewies. This keeps him occupied and prevents him from barking at his foster mom for more food. Chewing also helps with his cough. On occasion, he will pick up a toy and play!  That makes so happy!

Harry's previous family let him down, but he is now a forever foster Pixie and a part of our family. He is a sweet dog, and we are committed to making sure he has a comfortable and loving home for the rest of his life.
