Shepherd / Rottweiler / Mixed (medium coat) : : Female (spayed) : : Young : : Medium
Learn more about the Rottweiler. Mia is available for adoption! Mia is about 1 year old and 50 pounds. We are not sure of her breed mix - some shepherd and maybe rottweiler?? She is full grown so a nice medium size dog! Mia originally hails from Texas, where she was fostered in a local rescue. They - and we - thought she would have a better chance in finding a home in Buffalo so here she is! We think we are pretty lucky to have her. Mia is a smart girl! She knows some basic commands and listens pretty well. She is nicely crate trained and appears to be also housetrained. We tell people to expect some adjustment time as she learns a new home and its routine. She is also starting to enjoy this crazy Buffalo weather! Mia walks on a leash but is new to pottying on it. She has had fully fenced yards in her foster homes and is used to that freedom. If you plan on pottying her on a leash, that may take a little more time for her to learn. Mia is good with other dogs. She lives with all sizes and really enjoys hanging out with the bigger dogs. She plays nice with them too. Mia has met the cats in her foster home and is curious about them - she has not been aggressive, just really curious. Mia loves people! She really likes kids and would be a great family dog. She snoozes nearby her foster mom as she works and will follow her when she moves around the house. She has a big bark so people will definitely know you have a dog! She is happy to tell the delivery man that she is there and watching what he's doing. Mia is a happy dog with such a great spirit! Mia is spayed, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm. Her adoption fee is $400
