Learn more about the Pomeranian.

Cricket the diva dog is ready for her forever home. A home where she can be the center of your world. Cricket absolutely loves her people. Everywhere they go, she wants to be as well. Cricket is a 6 year parti Pomeranian, that came to rescue from a local breeder.

Cricket has so much love to give her family and everyone she meets.  Cricket is a social butterfly and wants to meet as many people as she can. Anywhere you can take her, Cricket wants to go! She loves it all. She is the typical Velcro dog. Stuck to your side no matter what. If she can’t get to her people, she will circle and whine until you come back to get here. When you leave for work or simply leave her to take out the garbage, Cricket does get upset initially. She does bark for a few minutes but does settle down. She is not a dog that would do well in a crate all day. She prefers to be left in a gated area while you are gone. The good news is, she will lie in her bed and sleep until you get back. She is not destructive or chews things while you are away. Depending on how long the day alone is, she may have an accident so leave a potty pad out for her. When you get home, be prepared for her silly crazy zoomies of excitement. Followed by a funny chewbacca sound. It cracks up her foster family when the sound comes out of her tiny mouth. Not a sound that is expected.  Cricket is great with other dogs and enjoys a short amount of play with them. She will chase them all around the yard barking and running as fast as she can to be part of the fun.

Cricket is still working on her house training. She knows what to do when she goes outside but she will go inside as well if you don’t take her out regularly. Cricket does use potty pads in her foster home. Cricket is excellent on a leash and loves to go for walks. She is also great in the car. She prefers to sit in a crate in the seat right next to you while you drive. This way she can see you and will relax. Cricket has been introduced to children as young as 5. She did ok with them but it was clear she was nervous initially. A home with older children would be better for her. Due to the fact that she barks and whines when you leave, she is not ideal for apartment life. Cricket is spayed and recently had a dental. If you think she is the perfect match for you, make sure you apply today.

Cricket is spayed, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm.  She has also had a dental.  Her adoption fee is $450
