Cockapoo / Mixed (long coat) : : Male : : Baby : : Medium
Learn more about the Cockapoo. Handsome Harley is available for adoption! Harley is a local dog that was surrendered to us once his owner realized that a young strong puppy was a little too much for her to handle. We are glad to help her and Harley find his new family! Harley is a 9 month old Cockapoo and he weighs about 25 pounds currently. Harley is a mix of fun and cuddly! He is always nearby and likes to lay at his foster mom's feet, or in front of a fan. He is smart and knows some basic commands like sit and shake. He has a lot of energy and loves to be outside in the yard. Harley is able to walk on a leash but he is very strong and pulls still. No leisurely walks for this guy yet - he wants to go go go and find adventures! He is just excited to be out and about! This is improving though since he is now able to burn lots of energy in his foster home with his canine siblings romping in the yard. He just needs some more work on this skill. Harley is doing wonderful with his housetraining. He did have some setbacks though coming into a home where there are plenty of accidents by other dogs but he quickly remembered what he is supposed to do and where he is supposed to do it. Please expect a little adjustment time for Harley in this area. He gets along with other dogs but he is bigger than most in his foster home and can still be clumsy and rough. Harley has had limited exposure to cats but we do not think it will be an issue other than initial curiosity. He is fine with kids. He does tend to jump up on people still so please take that into consideration if you have young children that could be knocked over. Harley has a lot of energy and we think a fully fenced yard would be ideal for this boy (no invisible fences please) along with walks and playtime with his family! Harley has a long coat that will need regular grooming throughout his lifetime also. Harley is current on his vaccinations, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm. We are requiring a spay/neuter contract to be signed at the time of adoption (the cost of his neuter is included in the adoption fee and fully explained in the contract). He is scheduled to be neutered at Operation Pets on July 14th and it will be the adopter's responsibility to take him to the appointment. Harley's adoption fee is $500
