If you are looking for a slightly older gent, with impeccable manners and is an all-around love, look no further than our boy Bandit. Bandit is an 8 year old Petit Bassett Griffon Vendeen mix. We have no idea what he is mixed with, but we know this handsome scruffy hunk will be a great addition to just about any home. Bandit came to us from our Texas partners. Sadly a gentleman of his age would be overlooked at the southern shelters. Here in WNY, he stands out amongst the crowd, even with his stubby little 6-inch legs.

Bandit is just about the perfect dog. We can’t say anything negative about him. Bandit is housebroken and crate trained. He loves everyone he meets. He has been around kids as young as 10 and had no issues with them. Bandit lives with other dogs and doesn’t seem to be bothered by them in the least bit. If they want to play, Bandit will engage, for a brief period of time, then he walks off to find something else to do, such as lay in the shade under a tree. He would enjoy a home that will take him for walks but then allow him to snuggle on the couch while you watch TV.  He is often found resting his head on his foster mama's lap. At night he snuggles in as close as possible to her. Bandit wants to be the center of his persons world. Someone who will give him all the love they have to offer. When his family comes home from work, he will howl with excitement. It only lasts a minute but it’s so funny. He just can’t control his happiness that his family is home. Since he is slightly older, there is a possibility that he will need a dental in the future.
