11/7 - Heidi is still available for adoption!

Heidi is a young puggle girl from North Carolina.  She is an owner turn in, her daddy is  Marine and he had to give her up because he is being deployed to Iraq for a year.  He did not want to let her go  but knew it was better that she found a new home rather then being kenneled for such a long time.  This little dog is the love of his life and got him through some very tough times, so we are going to take extra special care of her.  There were lots of kisses and tears (a lot of the tears were mine!) when they said goodbye and we promised to find his little lady the best home possible.  Heidi is adjusting to her foster home now and is happiest when she can play and run with the other dogs.  I think she knows that he really didn't want to give her up, but had to so she is trying extra hard to be a good girl!  She would love a family with kids or another dog to keep her company (her BFF is Buffy!).  Heidi is doing well with her house training but there have been a few accidents which is to be expected in these situations.  She is smart though and will get used to a new routine easily.  She loves to be outside regardless if she is in the yard or out for a walk.  Heidi is scheduled to be vetted in early September and will be ready for a new home soon after.  She is 16 months old and 20 pounds, pretty fawn colored.  She is the "beagle" type of Puggle (Anabelle is more the pug type). If you are interested in Heidi and think you could give her a forever home, please fill out an application online.   Due to Heidi's beagle like nature she is going to require a fenced yard.  If given the chance, she will run run run!
