Winston is available for adoption!  He is about 2 years old and weighs 23 pounds.  He is a mixed breed - our best guess is Schnauzer!  Just look at those ears!  Winston spent most of his life chained up outside while his owners weren't home.  Well, we heard enough when we heard that and off to NY he came!  

There are 2 words to describe Winston - boisterous and joyful!  Winston is a happy happy dog who's tail is always wagging and he is always ready for play  Winston is good with other dogs and loves to play - he does play rough so if there is another dog in his new home, it must be a sturdy one!  He loves people and is always ready for some loving and lap time.  He is ok with cats - curious mostly but not aggressive.  Kids would be fine too.  Winston is crate trained and sleeps through the night or while his foster mom is out of the house.  He walks on a leash too. Winston has a fully fenced yard in his foster home which he really loves.  He can run and play out there all day if he is allowed!  He listens well and comes inside when he is called. He is working on learning some basic commands like sit and down.  Winston is still working on his housetraining  - he knows what he is supposed to do outside and is pretty consistent but will still use the potty pads in his house.  We believe when all the focus is on Winston, he will come along in no time.  Winston will do best in a fully fenced yard (no invisible fences please).  He is also just recently neutered and erasing spending most of his life chained outside from his memory!   Winston is a great dog and would be a perfect addition to almost any home!  Can't you just see him in your family holiday photos already??

Winston is neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm.  His adoption fee is $450
