The wait is finally over! Biscuit boy is now ready for adoption. He is one heck of a stud muffin with the most wonderful personality to match. Beauty on the outside and the inside, what a treasure. This handsome fellow was an owner surrender to a shelter in Texas. He has a sad story to tell, but his future is bright. He knows he’s been saved and will forever love his new family.

When Biscuit arrived to the shelter, his skin was all infected. Apparently his previous owners allowed his to become extremely matted. They they attempted to shave him themselves. Well, that didn’t work out for Biscuit. They cut his so badly that the cuts became infected. Then, they dumped him in the shelter. Poor little guy, his skin was inflamed, with bald patches, and he needed antibiotics. Once here in WNY, we did try to even him out and clean him up the best out groomer could. She did an amazing job considering he screams now when being groomed, especially when it comes to the legs. But she worked her magic and just look at him! He’s beautiful. Biscuit truly loves everyone he meets. He is the first to greet new people when they come to his foster home. He gently paws at people to get their attention to pet him. Biscuit enjoys the company of the other dogs, but really just craves the love and affection of his people.

Biscuit is completely crate trained. You say “crate”, and he knows exactly which crate is his, and will open it with his nose, and close the door behind him. What a smartie pants! He’s doing very well on his house training. Being a freshly neutered male, Biscuit will mark the first day, but he will wear a belly band with no issue. He will stand perfectly still when you put it on, and even gets a little excited. He thinks it makes him look even more handsome than usual, as he struts around the house. The belly band is only needed for a day or two, until he figures out the routine and that you will let him out regularly. Biscuit is excellent on a leash. The second he sees it, Biscuit is ready for the walk. His little legs let him move too. Biscuit does currently have a fenced yard in his foster home. He loves to run in the yard, chasing the squirrels and birds. Biscuit does have a high pitched squeal when he is happy, excited, needs to go out, or when he sees people. Apartment life may not be the right setting for his little guy. He is not an overly active dog. He is mostly a couch potato that just wants to sit in your lap, sleep in you bed, go for a daily walk, and give you plenty of kisses.  In fact anywhere you are Biscuit wants to be.

Biscuit is still learning to play with toys. He did have a dental and now that some of his rotten teeth are taken care of, he may start playing with them more. We could tell that his teeth hurt him. Even the gentlest touch on his mouth would cause Biscuit to flinch and move his head in slow motion. Biscuit is very sensitive as well. If he thinks he’s in trouble, Biscuit will come up to you, sit down, then duck his head to say sorry. Biscuit is a kind and gentle soul. If you think Biscuit is a match for you, make sure you apply today. He will not be in rescue very long.

Biscuit is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm.  He has also been given a dental!  Biscuit's adoption fee is $450
