Cha Cha Chia!  Chia came to us from Texas with her brother Pet. He has been happily adopted!  Chia got gravely ill soon after she arrived and was rushed to our ER vet.  All her symptoms indicated parvo or distemper but test after test came up negative.  We were losing hope until our super star vet came to her rescue with a diagnosis of histoplasmosis, a common fungal disease for southern dogs.  With a new med on board, Chia made an immediate turn for the better and was sent home the next day!  We are so grateful she pulled through!  Chia has been rechecked with her liver values checked 30 days after her hospitalization and has been given the clear to be spayed and go up for adoption!

Chia is about  2 years old and weighs 8 pounds.  She has the cutest curly Q tail!  Chia is a happy friendly girl that loves everyone she meets.  She is always ready and willing to give everyone a kiss or two.  Chia walks nicely on a leash and potties on it too.  She still may need potty pads in her new home as rain/snow and chihuahuas do not always get along.  She is crate trained too!  Chia is good with other dogs and is a huge snuggler with them.  She will play with toys too.  Chia has not been around kids in her foster home but we think older, respectful kids are fine at this point.  Cats are no issue either.  She loves to be outside and has a fully fenced yard in her foster home.  She loves treats and soft little beds to curl up in.  Chia beat the odds twice - making it out of Texas and surviving a major medical emergency!  This girl certainly deserves to find her happily ever after in WNY!

Chia is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm.  Her adoption fee is $400
