Anatolian Shepherd (medium coat) : : Male (neutered) : : Baby : : X-Large
Learn more about the Anatolian Shepherd. Please meet Barstow or Bart as he is known in his foster home! Bart is an Anatolian Shepherd - this is an extra large breed! Bart is about 4 months old and already over 40 pounds!! Bart came to us from Texas with his brother Monty and sister Ana. They were found as strays wandering down a road - a kind police officer picked them up and got them to safety! The puppies are already big and growing every day! They will need room to roam! No apartments please. They love to be outside - it is the nature of their breed. Fenced yards are preferred. All are playful and love to run and goof off with each other and the other dogs in their foster home. They do not bother the cats much. They are good with other dogs. Kids will be fine but should be on the sturdier side since these are big dogs! All of the puppies will need additional training - remember they are still just babies, big babies but still babies. They have recently been introduced to a leash and are crate trained for the most part. Housetraining is coming along but again, expect additional training and accidents as they adjust and learn. The puppies are loving and good natured goof balls! They are expect to be large to extra large dogs when fully grown - please do your research on the breed before you apply! Bart is just a puppy learning about the world! He is the biggest of the bunch. He is smart and learning to live in a house. Bart likes to be with his foster mom as much as possible. He loves to "walk" with her - with his head between her legs! He is always close by when he is not with his siblings. Bart loves water! He loves to play with the hose and the kiddie pool in the backyard. Bart is a big lovable pup that will make you smile all day long! Bart is neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped and flea/worm treated. His adoption fee is $450. Bart will be at Flying Bison Brewery on 5/22 for meet and greets only. We are accepting now to begin processing them. Please call your vet to release information if applicable!
