Babe is a 3 year old rat terrier mix.  She is about 15 lbs.  Babe is the sweetest dog in the world. She is very timid, very submissive and very gentle Although she lives with dogs just fine she is easily bullied by them.  We will not be placing her with a dominant natured dog as it would just not be fair to her. 

Babe was nervous when she first came and kind of stuck to herself but after a few days she started coming out of her shell.  She has a very loving disposition and enjoys being pet and loved. She gets very excited when you tell her she’s a good girl and she is very food motivated (especially with cheese).

She is crate trained and will go in easily with a treat however if you try to help her in she will urinate a little due to her submissive nature.     Babe is just starting leash training but it remains a work in progress.  She is doggy door trained and has been doing very well with housebreaking with his set up.  Please expect accidents as she adjusts to a new home/ routine. 

Babe is a quiet girl.  We are not sure she has even barked since she has been here.  We have not cat tested her but we can’t imagine there would be any problems.  She has been around a 9 year old child with no issues but due to her timidness very young kids would probably not be a match. 

Babe had a cough since coming into rescue and is currently being treated for bronchitis.  Her medication will be completed before adoption.

Babe would be a great match for a quieter home.  A home with another laid back girl like herself or as an only dog.  She just wants what every dog wants: love and attention.  If you think Babe is a match for you. Please apply!  She is a great dog who deserves a safe and happy home.
