YO! I’ll tell you what I want, what I really really want

So tell me what you want, what you really really want

We know what you really, really want – look out Western New York – the Spice Girls have landed!

At the end of 2020, Mama Spice went under the porch of an elderly gentleman to give birth.  The area experienced a flood and the mom and her babies were lost.  Once the water receded, the elderly gentleman went in search of the small family.  He recovered all of them and brought them into his home.  Weakened from giving birth and sick from exposure to the elements, Mama Spice died within 24 hours of being found.  Knowing he would be unable to care for 4 tiny babies, this kind elderly gentleman surrendered them to our rescue partners in Texas.  These small orphans arrived at Pixie Mamas at the end of January, all weighing under 3 lbs., weak, and full of loss and confusion without their mom.  In the weeks that followed, however, they grew healthy and strong and are now ready to begin their lives here in New York.

We believe they are lab mixes and will be medium-sized dogs when they are full grown.

Baby is the blonde bombshell of the family.  In high contrast to her litter-mates dark coloring, Baby is a pale tan with cream accents on her face and tiny white angel wings on her shoulder blades.  Her markings are striking and she knows she is beautiful.  She will give you a boop on the arm (or the nose!)  if you are not paying her enough attention.  Baby has found her voice and does not hesitate to give her opinion on everything…from your wardrobe, to dinner choices, to the person who is walking on the sidewalk outside your home.  Baby would not do well in an apartment since she forgets to use her “inside voice” when she gets excited.  She wants to be with you to cuddle on the couch, surf online, binge-watch Netflix.  As long as she is with her people, she is happy.  She knows who the queen is in her kingdom - and she will make sure everyone else knows it as well!

Baby has seen the other dogs in the house use potty pads while their foster mom is at work and she is getting much better at using them as well.  She is also the first one to start going potty outside - this girl puts the pieces together lightning fast!  It is an on-going effort and she has a ways to go yet, but she wants to please her people (and get an extra treat!) so she does her best.

As a puppy she is a blank slate – she is a sponge absorbing everything around her at all times.  She will need training to be her best self.  Please be patient while she is learning – she is still a baby and lost her mama very early in her life.  Her life experiences so far are a rag-tag, patchwork quilt sewn together with lots of love, but you need to know that some pieces may be the wrong size, and some pieces may be missing entirely.   She needs love, attention, and patience as she now has the opportunity and ability to become the beautiful dog she is meant to be.

Baby is spayed, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, flea/worm treated and microchipped.  She did develop a small umbilical hernia after her spay but she is not in any danger.   Her adoption fee is $400
