Introducing Cinnamon, or better known as Cinnabunny, by her foster family. This petite little lady has some hops, and will dance her way into your hearts. She gets all four legs off the ground and is so happy when her mama comes home from work. It's one of the most adorable things to watch. It's like she has springs in her legs the way she hops up and down. Like many of our fosters, Cinnamon came to us from Texas. We believe that she is a 7-8 year old chihuahua doxie mix. She has short little legs and ears that seem to go on for days. When they are outside in the wind, we almost think she will take off.

When Cinnamon first arrived, she was very scared and timid. She would cower in the corner and did not want to be picked up. But boy has that changed!  Cinnabunny now demands to get the attention she was missing out on. She is the first one on the couch when it is time to watch TV, she has to make sure that she is sitting right on your lap. If you aren't petting her enough, Cinnabunny will get your attention by chewing on your hand. Its not hard but it's enough to get your attention. At night Cinnamon gets right in bed. She loves to sleep under the covers, resting her head on her foster mama's leg. Cinnamon is fully crate trained and doing well on her house training. She is not completely there yet but she tries very hard. Cinnamon enjoys running in the yard and chasing the leaves as they blow around. With consistent encouragement and frequent potty breaks when you are home, she will continue to catch on to your expectations. When her foster family is at school or work, Cinnamon is actually left loose in the kitchen. They do leave the pee pad out for her, but is not often used. We do expect Cinnamon do regress a little in her new home. Accidents will happen and she will be shy. She is still nervous around new people and will back away initially. We think a home with older children (12+) would be best for her. Children who can give Cinnabunny the space needed to adjust and trust her family. She gets her courage by following the other dogs in her foster home. For this reason, we are requiring another dog to be in her forever home. Cinnamon loves to wrestle and play with the other dogs, but once she is done, she is all about her family. Cinnamon may be 7-8 years old, but this gal can hold her own when it comes to puppy play. She will playfully grab the back legs of her foster siblings and run around the house chasing them. She also enjoys playing with toys on her own. Rope toys and tennis balls seem to be her favorite. Cinnamon is not leash trained at all. We have been working on introducing the leash, but it causes her to freeze in fear right now. A fully fenced in yard is a requirement, no electric or invisible fences please. In rescue we say there is a rule of 3; 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks to learn the routine, and 3 months to realize they are home. With Cinnamon this will most likely be true. It will take her time to trust you, but once she does you won't be sorry. She is so full of love and her antics will make you laugh all the time. If you think you can give Cinnamon her perfect forever home, make sure you apply today.

Cinnamon is now spayed, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm.  She has also had a dental.  Her adoption fee is $400
