Learn more about the Schnauzer.

Please say hello to our wonderful Tripod Max!  Max is a 5 year old Schnauzer.  Max came to us from a shelter in Texas.  We think he was a hit by a car and it was repaired there.  Once he was settled in with his foster family, they noticed he was not feeling well.  Infection had set in and our vet saw that Max's leg had been injured multiple times and there was no saving it.  We determined it was in his best interest to have his rear leg removed.  He is all healed now - cleared by the vet and ready for his new life to begin!

3 legs does not slow Max down!  He is always ready for an adventure! Max loves car rides and going for walks.  He is good with other dogs but larger dogs must be gentle.  No cats though unfortunately.  Max must be properly introduced to new family and friends that visit - he has been known to give a little nip to strangers.  Older, respectful kids (12+) would be ok - no toddlers though.  Max is snuggle bunny - he loves to be loved,  He is a loyal little dog with a great personality!  Max will need consistent grooming throughout his life, every 6-8 weeks so please take that into consideration.

Max is neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm. He has also been recently groomed professionally! His adoption fee is $400
