Our little Slinky-dinky-do is ready for his forever home. Slinky traveled from Texas to Buffalo and he is ready to find his new home!  He is chihuahua mix, about 3 years old and weighs 12 pounds. 

Slinky is the definition of a Velcro dog. He is never far from his foster mama. He thinks the world revolves around his family. His favorite things to do include whatever involves you. Slinky is excellent on the leash and very good in the car. As soon as Slinky sees the leash and harness, he is so excited and jumping in the air to go.  Most of the day he is found curled up in a ball on the couch. Overnight, Slinky sleeps under the covers, resting his head on his mamas leg. Slinky follows his family everywhere around the house. If you are in the kitchen cooking, Slinky is right there. If you are folding laundry, Slinky is there to help. And if you are in the bathroom, Slinky will be there as well. Slinky is not used to the cold temperatures of WNY, but he is slowly adjusting. Slinky is happy to quickly go outside to do his business, but is the first one back in to house. He actually prefers to go out with a sweater to keep him warm. He knows what to do when outside but it would be up to his new family to continue with the house training. Slinky is not a fan of the crate and will howl and cry when placed in it. Do not worry though, he is content to stay behind a gate while you are away. He is past the puppy stage and is not going to chew your cabinets or furniture. If you leave a potty pad out for him, depending on how long you are away, Slinky may use it if needed.

Slinky is shy when he first meets new people and would probably do best in a home with another dog to boost his confidence. Slinky has lived with cats, dogs, and been around kids as young as 9 with no issue. We do not think Slinky would do well in a home with small children. Their fast movements may be too much for him to handle, especially since he is nervous at first. If you think Slinky is the perfect match for you, make sure you apply today!

Slinky is neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm.  His adoption fee is $400
