Roscoe was an owner surrender from an elderly woman who could no longer care for him.  He is a beautiful, well Behaved dog with some vision impairment.  He can see far away but not close up.  He manages just fine and other then getting tangled up in your feet at times you would not really pick up on his deficit right away.   Roscoe was well loved and well taken care of for his life.  He is spoiled rotten and we will be looking for a home who will continue the lifestyle he is accustomed to.  Roscoe REQUIRES someone home most the time. He has separation anxiety because he was never left alone so we are looking for a retired person who is mostly a homebody.  He is okay for a couple hours but would not do well being left 40 plus hours a week.  He is a ONE owner dog so he will need a single person to be his new mom or dad! Roscoe requires being allowed on your furniture and in your bed.  This is not optional.  Roscoe only eats if you are near him and goes outside to potty but requires you be with him (this is improving) That being said he has not had any accidents in his foster home. He walks well on a leash and does not require a fenced yard.  Roscoe is extremely loyal and very affectionate.  He expects the same in return.  He never leaves his foster moms side and will often times demand belly rubs while watching TV.   The closer he can be to you the better he likes it.   Roscoe is fostered with other dogs and although he lives with them he would prefer to be an only dog due to guarding issues with toys and bones.  Also with his sight impairment and his guarding issues an adult only home will be required.  If children visit they must be older children with the understanding that Roscoe may have to be crated while they are there.   He has a big bark so apartments would not be ideal for him.  He is amazing for grooming and will require regular grooming for his lifetime. Please keep that in mind before you adopt him.  We just love Roscoe and know he will find someone who will dote on him!  He is so easy to love and gives so much love in return.  If you want a little prince to spoil rotten please apply!  He needs you!
