Learn more about the Manchester Terrier.

Our little Peanuts are available for adoption! These little spitfires were born in rescue on 10/01/2020 to mama Lucy! We think mom is a Manchester terrier/ chihuahua mix (or something comparable).  We do not know what dad was but some of the puppies have yellow lab characteristics (totally a guess)!

We believe these puppies will be medium sized when all grown up between 20- 30 lbs, maybe a little more for the big guy! Again just a guess as we have been surprised many times before!

These puppies are not couch potatoes.  They are very smart, energetic and mischievous little boys!  They are curious about everything around them and they like to get into, taste and play with anything and everything within their reach.

The puppies are working on housebreaking in their foster home but it is literally hit or miss.  The three of them together keeps them busy and distracted from their foster moms attempts at training.  We  do expect them to do much better separated with one on one attention but please expect accidents in their new home as they will not have a routine established with you.

The puppies love and get along well with other dogs but are sometimes afraid at first. They have been socialized with dogs of all sizes and just take a little time to warm up.  They have met a cat and honestly have no idea she’s any different. They have tried to interact but one hiss sends them running for cover.

That being said all three boys are very sensitive.  They whine when they can’t find you and sometimes just because.  They are not good watch dogs and in fact are huge scaredy cats most of the time.  If someone knocks on the door you will find them looking to you for reassurance or in some cases hiding behind you until they know it’s okay. This may just be an age thing as mom is NOT shy at all but we we would highly suggest keeping them active and socialized not only with other dogs but people as well.  Formal training and an agility class would definitely be a confidence builder as well as strengthening the bond between you.

Linus is the smallest of the group in size but the biggest in personality.  He is the leader of the pack and even bosses his mom around sometimes. He has done everything first. His favorite place is on the couch!  His favorite thing is chasing his mom through the house.  Like the others he likes to chew so some durable toys and cow hooves will be a must! He is Very smart, very active and also very loving. He is the first one to climb on the couch and into his foster moms lap after a hard day of playing but boy does he play hard!  He has the cutest freckles on his nose and his eyes sparkle when he is happy!  He would do well with an active  family to call his own!

This beautiful litter was born in our rescue. They are happy healthy puppies who have only known love.  They enjoy their family, a comfy dog bed, full bellies and toys to play with.  They deserve a family who will continue to love them and patiently train them to become great family dogs!  If you think that family is you please don’t hesitate to apply!

Linus is neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm.  His adoption fee is $400
