Luna is a 1 -2 year old poodle / terrier mix.  (We make no assumptions or guarantees that she is a hypoallergenic dog as we are not sure of her mix) She came into rescue with 3 fuzzy puppies who she took amazing care of!  Luna was successfully treated for heartworm and will need to remain on preventive for the rest of her life.  It is relatively inexpensive, depending on the brand you choose.  

Her foster family describes her as an old soul.  She is the type of dog who just lays back and observes everything around her.  She does have playful spurts but for the most part she just lays on the back of the couch and watches the world go by!

Luna is a good girl.  She has had a few accidents in her foster home (mostly when it rains) but for the most part will go outside to do her business. She is a people lover for sure.  She does live with other dogs and tolerates them but we don’t feel she would want to live in a permanent home with a high energy playful dog - that’s just not what she likes and has no problem saying so. A calm dog like herself would be fine. 

Luna has a fenced in yard in her foster home and we found out pretty quickly that she was an escape artist. So if you have a fence it will have to be in good condition with NO way for her to get out. Chicken wire buried at the bottom for example (chain link) with no gaps anywhere.  Wood panels at the bottom (wood fenced) also with no gaps or she will find them.  She is also a door dasher so once she knows how you come and go she will be quick to try join you! This is probably how she ended up pregnant and in rescue as she is great at her craft LOL. 

We think Luna would do fine with kids who are respectful of her.  She has not been cat tested but we can’t imagine her having any issues with anyone. She is working on leash training and has done very well but she will need more work on this in her forever home.

Luna is spayed, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and treated for heartworm.  Her adoption fee is $450
