Cairn Terrier / Mixed (medium coat) : : Female (spayed) : : Adult : : Small
Learn more about the Cairn Terrier. Bethel is ready for her new home! She is a cairn terrier mix - maybe with chihuahua. She is scruffy but her coat is soft. She has a crazy long streak of hair down the middle of her back, like a mohawk. And she has the prettiest eyes! She is about 4 years old and weighs 11 pounds. Bethel came to us from Texas. She was rescued from a dog hoarding situation with 30 other dogs and has been in rescue a long time. She has come so far and we know we are going to find her a great home in New York. Bethel is a playful little girl. She likes other dogs and loves to run and chase in the yard. She is not leash trained and will need a fully fenced yard (no invisible fences though). Bethel is friendly and loves it when her foster mom gives her lots of love and lap time! She shows no interest in the cats in her foster home - she will occasionally bark if the other dogs do. She likes to be outside and is slowly getting used to this Buffalo weather! She is crate trained and sleeps through the night. She is doing well on housetraining and will use potty pads too. Bethel is a smart little girl and has picked up the routine in her foster home. Please expect some additional training. She has not been tested with kids in her current foster home but we do not think there will be issues if they are respectful and kind to her.
Bethel is spayed, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm. Her adoption fee is $400
