Learn more about the Chihuahua. Pixie Mamas would like to introduce our “American Icon” litter. What is an American Icon? Someone you know by just a first name. Someone instantly recognized across the country – and the world. Someone who has excelled in a particular field and has reached the top of the ladder. Trust us, you know one when you see one! This litter was found with their mom roaming the streets of Texas – thin, weak, and infested with sarcoptic mange. This is a very painful condition, usually found in wild fox and coyotes. It was a long, hard road for them to get healthy again. Weeks of special baths. Multiple skin treatments to kill the parasites that had overtaken their tiny bodies. This litter is a group of fighters and after months of battle, our vets have deemed them healthy & fit for adoption. They are ready for their forever homes! “If I can make it there – I’ll make it anywhere It's up to you New York, New York!” - Frank Sinatra, Radio City Music Hall, 1978
Ok, don’t deny it – we know you sang that in your head! Ol’ Blue Eyes. The Chairman of the Board. The Sultan of Swoon. Member of the infamous “Rat Pack” of the 1960s. It just doesn’t get any cooler than that. Ladies & Gentlemen, we would like you to meet Frank Sinatra. Look at that face – and deep into those eyes – and you know why he has his name.
Sinatra is the biggest boy in the litter – with a swagger to match. He has a striking white stripe down the center of his nose and appears to be in formal attire with his midnight black fur and white dress shirt front across his chest. He is one dapper gentleman, dressed for success. The real Sinatra loved the ladies, and our Sinatra shares his Romeo tendencies. He sometimes plays hard to get, but he is only kidding. All he really wants is a partner in crime to play with and a warm body to snuggle with. And some food – this big boy loves to eat. That pretty much covers all the bases for a happy life, doesn’t it?
He is not a big barker. He will join in the chorus if the other dogs are barking, but he rarely initiates it. The perfect man-about-town, he loves to be pampered. His foster mom works, so he is learning about potty pads. He would rather go outside & he is putting together the pieces about going potty outside as he copies the older dogs in the house. He hasn’t quite connected all the dots yet, but he is well on his way. Please be patient if there are accidents as he continues to learn and understand the rules of a new home.
As a puppy he is a blank slate – he is a sponge absorbing everything around him at all times. He will need training to be his best self. He is still a baby, but he will get there. He needs love, attention, and patience. Sinatra is up to date with age appropriate vaccines, flea/worm treated and microchipped and has been seen by a vet. We are unable to get him neutered prior to adoption. Therefore we are requiring a spay/neuter contract to be signed at the time of adoption (the cost of his neuter is included in the adoption fee and fully explained in the contract). His appt is scheduled for December 14th. His adoption fee is $400
