Dustin is a chihuahua mix around a year old.  He is just 9 lbs.  Dustin ended up in a shelter which made him very sad but luckily a rescue picked him up and he is doing so much better with us.  Dustin has been around many other dogs and does very well.  He loves to play and can be borderline annoying so a dog similar in energy level would be ideal.  He has a fenced in yard in his foster home and has not started leash training but we do believe he is trainable.  He is very submissive to people and will often times roll on his back when you go to pick him up. He came to us un-neutered and marked the house non stop but since being neutered that has improved tremendously (it’s only been a couple weeks).  In fact, his belly band is rarely ever wet.  We are so proud of him!!  He is working on crate training.  He never had accidents in his crate but he does cry and take a little time to settle down for the night.  He is great for a bath and let his foster mom cut his nails without any problems.  He is extremely affectionate and would spend hours on someone’s lap if they let him.  He has been around older, respectful children and had done fine.  He is fearful at the vet and will lash out if they do not take it slow. His second visit went very smooth once we all knew how afraid he was.  Otherwise he has been very sweet and loving with everyone who has met him.  He is a great dog who is eager to please.  He is extremely affectionate and will do anything for your kindness and love.  He will need further work on house training but he is definitely on the right track!  If you think this adorable boy could be your new best friend please apply!
