Veda is a one year old chihuahua mix.  She came from Texas in hopes of finding her forever home. Little Veda has been full of surprises since coming into rescue. From first being told she was a male, to being heartworm positive and then finding out during her spay she was also pregnant with NINE large breed puppies. Unfortunately Veda was unable fo have those puppies. At just just barely 9 pounds she would not have been able to successfully carry, deliver or feed them without losing her life so the vet recommended taking them during the spay.  Although very sad it was the right thing to do for her and at just a year old she now has a clean start and is ready to live the life she was meant to have!

Veda is a very shy, submissive little girl but omg does she have so much love to offer her family!  Veda loves to play and would really benefit from another confident little dog in her forever home.  She loves to sit on the couch with you and has an endless amount of kisses to give. 

She is completely crate trained.  When she first came she would poop on blankets and cover them up because she didn’t know how to ask to go outside.  She has since learned to go to the door which has pleased her foster family greatly.  She still doesn’t ask so you have to watch her queues but it’s a huge step for such a shy little girl.  We do want her new family to know that it may take some time for her to feel safe and confident enough to be able to ask you to go outside so please expect some accidents.  Treating her like a new puppy and taking her out regularly will be needed as she does know what to do once she is out there. Veda does not walk on a leash and will require a fully fenced yard in her new home (no electric or invisible fences).

Veda is good with kids and will run right up to them and then flip over on her back for pets.  She is a little timid on a leash but will do it if she walks with another dog.  She takes treats very gentle and enjoys them very much.  She loves to be talked to sweetly and when you tell her she’s a pretty girl she just melts.

Although Veda took a little extra time to come out of her shell she ended up being the best little dog you could ask for.  She has the most adorable crooked ears and just a different “look” about her.  Everyone who has met her has fallen in love with her and she quickly becomes their favorite out of all the fosters in the home. 

We are excited for this little girl to continue her journey and wish for her a home filled with endless snuggles and unconditional love. 

Veda is spayed, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm.  Her adoption fee is $400
