Please meet Duke! He is an 6 year old beefcake of a dog that weighs about 70 pounds. Duke came to us when his owner unexpectedly passed away. He is orginally from Texas and is looking forward to starting his new life in NY!

Duke is crate, leash and house trained! He is good with other dogs and has no issues with the cats in his home. He is good with kids - sturdy ones due to his size! Duke is a couch potato. He falls in love fast and is a hyper bonder. He is always wanting a lap to lay on and demands lots of love and attention. Duke is v ery food motivated, and a bit spoiled when it comes to wanting his yummy treats. He enjoys walks and even jumped in the pond at his foster home so we are thinking he likes water as well. Duke is currently living on a hobby farm and does well with horses, chickens ducks, and cats. Duke can become overly excited when other dogs are playing “rough” so managing playtime is important to ensure play i s kept at a nice acceptable level. Experience with “bully” breed is highly recommended. “Bullies” generally play a bit harder and understanding how to manage such behavior is important. Duke has not been the dog to start and initiate play... laying on the couch and snuggling is more his style but when the other dogs in his foster home start to play Duke engage and will play rougher. Duke knows come ,sit, lay down ,paw and speak. He is very well trained and someone is going to be lucky to have this hunk as their new pal!

Duke is neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm. His adoption fee is $350
