Everyone needs a Buddy! Can this guy be yours? Buddy is a very sweet and loving gent. He was surrendered to a local shelter because his owners sadly became homeless. Anyone who knows cockers knows that they are loyal to their people and unsure of strangers. For this reason, the shelter reached out to us asking for help. Of course one look at Buddy, and we knew we couldn’t say no.

Buddy is housebroken and crate trained. He’s excellent on the leash and loves to go for rides in the car. He even knows some basic commands such as come, sit, and stay. Most of the hard work is done for you!  He has lived with multiple animals including dogs and cats. And although Buddy does fine with dogs, he prefers dogs that are smaller than him. It just takes him longer to warm up to bigger dogs. Buddy is a typical cocker who loves his person. He does have the nervousness of a cocker so it takes him a little bit to warm up to new people. He also feels he needs to protect his mama from other dogs when he is going for a walk. He will bark and growl at them. It may very well just be a leash thing, especially since he is in a home with other dogs now and is fine. We do believe that Buddy would do better in a home with older children (over 10) since he has a history of growling at young kids when they kicked him. Buddy absolutely loves to be outside and explore, and although a fenced yard is not required, it is preferred. Buddy simply needs a stable home with people who will love him and give him the time needed to adjust to a new home. Once settled, Buddy is just that, your forever buddy. He will be your shadow and follow you anywhere. He will be a loyal companion who will let you do just about anything to him. If you can give this fella a forever home he so desperately deserves, make sure you apply!   Buddy has been recently groomed and will need regular grooming throughout his life so please take that into consideration.

Buddy is neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm and has been given a dental.  His adoption fee is $350
