Indie is a little girl that has certainly been through a lot in her young life. She's about 20 lbs and looks like a small boxer shepherd mix. Born in a field in Texas, she survived outside for 6 months all by herself until a wonderful man found her and took her in - it took him a bit to catch her but he knew she had rescue waiting and stepped to saving this little one. Up until then, she didn't have much human contact so she was initially very fearful.

Indie has certainly come along way since those lonely days in Texas! She has learned how to be a puppy! She loves to play with her big foster sister - an shepherd mix from Texas, has been very good around young children and is slowly learning to trust people. She is house trained and has learned to sit. Indie is not a lap dog or likes to be held, but she loves to lay next to you and get loved. She has shown no aggression, food and toys can be removed with no issues. She is pretty low key and has a truly sweet personality and gentle nature. Even if you have a fenced yard, she cannot be left outside unattended, she is an escape artist and will find any vulnerabilities! Work will have to continue with her trust issues, but with time and patience she will thrive. Indie would do best with another dog to help her build her confidence and show her the ways of the world.

Indie is spayed, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm. Her adoption fee is $350 - please apply if you think you have the home for this beauty!
