Meet Hoagie! Hoagie is a two year old dachshund mix who came to us all the way from Texas! Unfortunately when Hoagie came to Pixie Mamas it was discovered that he was heartworm positive. Good news is that now that he has made it through his treatment, he is ready to find his perfect family!

If you are looking for a dog who will love you no matter what, Hoagie is your man! Some of his favorite things include giving kisses non-stop, jumping lovingly into your arms, and melting into you as you give him lots and lots of love. Hoagie is very good in the crate, as he has had to endure weeks of crate rest due to his heartworm treatment. He is house trained, and does well with other dogs. We are working on his manners however, as he gets very protective of his person (only when he is on the couch). Hoagie would do great with other dogs OR as an only dog, as the main apple of his eye will be YOU!

Hoagie is neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and has successfully gone through heartworm treatment. Hoagie will need to be re-tested in 7 months and will need to remain on heartworm preventive for the rest of his life. Heartworm is not contagious and can only be transmitted via an infected mosquito's bite. Hoagie's adoption fee is $350
