Learn more about the Dachshund.

Texas sure has some cute dogs and Badger is high on the list of cuteness!  Badger is a dachshund mix, about 4 years old and 20 pounds.  His owner could no longer keep him and asked our rescue partners in Texas for some help.  Badger tested positive for heartworm and has successfully completed treatment over the last few months.  He is ready for a new life!

Badger is just as sweet as can be!  He loves people and other dogs and likes to play.  He is a huge fan of chewies and toys.  Badger is crate trained and starting to walk on the leash - he is doing great.  He is still working on his housetraining but since he got neutered and his foster has been working with him, he has improved greatly!  Please expect accidents as he is still learning.  Badger likes to chase cats a bit but can never seem to catch them lol.  He is smart and eager to learn.  Badger will make a great friend!

Badger is neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and completed heartworm treatment.  Badger will need to remain on heartworm preventative for the rest of his life so please take that into consideration.  Heartworm is not contagious and can only be transmitted via an infected mosqiuto bite.  His adoption fee is $350
