Say Helloooo to Hitch! Hitch came to us after he was found as a stray dog, and was brought to a shelter in Texas. He is a 2 yr old terrier mix weighing 16 lbs.

If you are looking for a playful, energetic dog, Hitch is your guy. He loves to play with his toys and will bring them back to you when you throw them. His favorite activities include playing tug of war, and running and chasing his ball in the backyard. For this reason, we do want Hitch to have a completely fenced in backyard, so he can run freely as he loves to do. Hitch LOVES people and other dogs. He befriends everyone he meets! He is currently in a foster home with two senior dogs, and gets along very well with them. His foster siblings, bc of their ages, do not play with him and Hitch would LOVE to have a younger, energetic dog to play with. He also really enjoys walks on a leash but is easily distracted by squirrels and rabbits, and true to his terrier breed, will try to chase them. When he gets pooped out from playing, he loves nothing more than to snuggle on your lap and let you give him belly rub. Hitch easily goes into his crate when his foster parents are not home, and he sleeps either in his Doggy bed or in the bed with his foster mom & dad. Hitch is completely house trained, and will go to the door to be let out when he needs to go to the bathroom. Please expect an adjustment period though. Hitch also knows basic commands- "sit", "paw", and "down". He does well in the car secured in a car seat or secured to a seat belt, but does not like being in the crate while in a car. Hitch has been caught shredding Kleenex and pee pads in his foster home, so we recommend that he not have access to paper products.
