Kolbey is a 5 month old Shepard mix puppy.  He is absolutely adorable!  He was found as a stray in Texas and never claimed.  He is one of the lucky ones that were able to find a ride to Buffalo and his new life!

Kolbey is very smart and very sensitive.  He is shy but warms up quickly if you just get to his level when you approach him. Once he feels safe he will curl up on your lap and soak up the love.  Kolbey is already 27 lbs so we do expect him to be a large breed dog once fully grown.  Due to his skittishness we are requiring a fully fenced yard- no electric fence. He does look to escape when in the yard so the fence will also need to be very secure.  He loves to be outside and we suspect that may have been where he lived as a young pup.  He still seems very unsure indoors despite weeks in a foster home but he is improving with time.  He gets along with other dogs and is a very playful boy. Loud noises frighten him so older kids may be a better fit.  He is crate trained although being confined is not something he is fond of.  He does not walk well on a leash yet so he will needs lots of practice on that.  We think Kolbey has made great strides in rescue and he is looking for the right family to continue working with him.  He has a kind and gentle way about him and we know with a little confidence he is going to be a wonderful companion.
