Meredith is a one year old Great Dane, a big girl weighing in over 100 pounds! Extra large! We are looking for a home that knows what a big dog like her needs!

Meredith is full of energy and loves her people! So much so that she wants to sit by them and a lot of times on them. So for that reason we are looking for a home with no small children at this time. She is a XL girl who is very strong, and needs to learn basic manners on the leash. So she will require a adopter with large breed experience and lots of muscles. She will also require a fenced in yard at least 4 foot tall so she can burn some energy off during the day. She is crate trained at night and appears to be housebroken-- however except potty accidents due to new environment. Meredith had a rough start at life being born in a puppy mill before being pulled into rescue. She was adopted out and recently returned due to food aggression and toy aggression between her and other resident large breed dog. In her foster home there has been no sign of this other then puppy syndrome of " mine mine mine". She is a big goofy girl who is getting along well in the foster home with larger and smaller dogs with ease. Allows all handling by her foster mom including removing food from bowl and mouth and same goes for toys. She is learning the come command ,leave it command, and also leash manners ( she is a large girl and will pull). We would strongly suggest some professional training. Meredith is an amazing dog and she deserves a wonderful home.
