This is our gorgeous American Cocker Spaniel Sukie.   Sukie is approximately 6 years old and came in as an owner surrender.  She is a wonderful little girl and would make a great addition to almost any home. 

She is sweet and loyal and very well behaved.  Like most Cocker Spaniels she is a Velcro dog and just wants to be with her family.  She likes to walk on a leash and get super excited to go for car rides.  She is housebroken and sleeps comfortably in bed with you.  She has not been crated in her foster home and has done just fine.  She is usually seen sleeping on the couch waiting for them to come home.  She likes most other dogs and would be ok with respectful kids.  Health wise Sukie has the typical cocker ear issues.  She has finished up her medications for a double ear infection and is responding well to the current treatment which includes a good quality grain free food and regular cleanings.  This will be a lifelong issue for her and will need to be monitored regularly.  Upon surrender her mouth was a mess. She had a recent dental in which 28 teeth were removed.  She is recovering well now and has resumed a normal diet.  Per previous owner Sukie does have seizures when flea medications are applied and she did have one in her foster home following Frontline administration.  We have since tried Revolution and so far so good. 

Sukie is spayed, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, tested neg for Heartworm, flea/worm treated and has been given a dental.  She has also been groomed!  Cocker spaniels need frequent grooming every 6 to 8 weeks and this can be costly so please make sure you can afford her care before you apply.
