Meet Murphy! He is a 9 year old shih tzu that has recently been released from a puppy mill.  Murphy has spent his entire life in a breeding facility - he is now ready to start the next chapter as a pet!  

Murphy is slowing learning to trust people, after being confined to a small cage his whole life. The key to getting Murphy to trust you is chicken! Good ole Murph love chicken. He is of course crate trained and mostly housebroken. He will also use a pee pad, if one is left for him. Murphy has not had an easy life. Upon coming into rescue, he had to have all but 1 of his teeth pulled. But we know that he feels better now - no more living with pain! He also suffers from dry eye and that will require meds for the rest of his life.  Murphy needs a home with another dog to boost his confidence and learn from and bond with!  He also needs to have a fenced in yard. Murphy is a good boy who just needs a person with patience to show him people aren't so bad. One of the most rewarding experiences is to foster puppy mill dogs - to understand their years of suffering and then to see them blossom.  You will never feel the same way about pet stores if ever owned a mill dog rescue!

Murphy is now neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm.  His adoption fee is $250 - please apply on our website if you are interested in giving this sweet boy a home!
