Just look at the ears on Miss Sassy Pants!  Aren't they the best!! Sassy is a 1 year old beagle/Jack Russell mix. She was turned over to a local shelter after her family moved and left her behind. Poor Sassy was not doing well in the shelter either. She was terrified and would cry out when shelter staff would touch her. One look at Sassy Pants and a knew we needed to help and get her out!

Now that she is in her foster home, Sassy has learned to trust, run, play, and enjoy life. She is still cautious of strangers when they approach her and move quickly to pet her back. Its best to approach Sassy under her chin and slowly move towards her back. For this reason, a home with older children (10+) is recommended.   There is no aggression and once she knows you a bit, she is fine!  Sassy would do best in a home with another dog to help show her the way, and a fenced in yard.  She is very playful!  No issues with cats - she is interested in playing only!  Once Sassy is comfortable with her family,  she is your shadow and will want to be everywhere you can go. She is very loyal and  loving.  Sassy is crate trained and is working on house training. She is almost there but accidents are expected in a new situation. If you think that you have a home to show Sassy the world isn't so scary, and the patience to show her the way, was consider our girl.
