Motley is a superstar! He came to us as an owner surrender - he has been bounced around a bit on Craigslist. He had some medical conditions that inexperienced EBD owners did not know how to deal with so they just kept bouncing him around. This boy is a 50 lb , 3 year old English Bulldog who loves getting dirty and playing in the mud!

Motley is a sweet boy! He is nicely leash trained and crate trained. He appears to be housetrained but we always tell adopters to expect some adjustment time as a new home and routine needs to be learned. Motley does well with his foster sisters but can be picky with male dogs. A only dog home or one with no males will be needed for this boy! He has toy possession with other dogs ( not humans) so adoptive family will need to watch him with other dogs when toys are around. Typical EBD! This boy came into rescue with severe ear infections and tail pocket infection- which has since cleared! As you can tell by his skin he has food allergies so a grain free food is required for him. He should remain on a fish based grain free diet. The vet also believes his tail was broken at one point of his life ( at a young age) so he can not lift his tail very high when going potty. So, like most bulldogs, his rear end will need to be wiped with baby wipes 1-2 times a day to prevent any infection. He actually enjoys this process and will not give you any issues! This superstar had to be very uncomfortable until he came into rescue with untreated infections- but his demeanor doesn't show it. Isn't it amazing what dogs can endure?
