Handsome Merle!  Merle is about 2 years old and 16 pounds - a gorgeous dachshund that came to us all the way from Texas!  Merle tested positive for heartworm which is a sure death sentence in the shelter system there - but we provided treatment for him and he is now ready for his new home!

Merle is very sweet and loving.  He is good with other dogs and loves people!  He has not been tested with cats though.  Merle is leash trained and crate trained.  He is doing well with housetraining but please expect some adjustment time as he learns a new routine.  Merle likes to be with his person!  He is happy to be outside and likes to sunbathe  - this warm weather reminds him Texas!  

Merle is now neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated.  He completed heartworm treatment and will need to remain on monthly heartworm treatment for the rest of his life!  Please take this into consideration if you are interested in adopting him.  His adoption fee is $375 - please apply online!

  • All animals breeds & ages are 'to our best our knowledge'

  • We DO NOT adopt out of state (including Canada) OR over 1 1/2 hours away from Buffalo, NY. NO exceptions. Please do not apply. (Any travel IN our adoption area is at the discretion of the foster home.)
