Learn more about the Cocker Spaniel.

Calling all Cocker lovers! Meet Berkley! This little girl is only 3 years old and she has already had quite the life. Poor little Berkley was taken to the shelter by her owner - no longer wanted and in need of some medical care. We couldn't let her stay there - we knew it would not be cheap but we were gonna take of her.

Berkley is a pure love! She loves every person that she meets. In true cocker fashion, her favorite toy is a tennis ball. She will do just about anything to get one. Tennis balls are very soothing to her. When Berkley is nervous, a tennis ball calms her right down. Berkley loves to play with her ball, either with your or by herself. Berkley is House broken and crate trained. She loves to snuggle on your lap or go for walks. Berkley was not socialized with other dogs when younger so she would prefer to be the only dog or with one calm, submissive dog. Berkeley does have seizures. Since Berkeley was surrendered to a local shelter initially, we don't really know much about her seizures. We aren't sure what causes them or what type she has. What we do know is they they are well controlled on her current medication.

Berkley's surgeries for her eyes and spay are scheduled for March. She is able to be adopted now to an approved home and with the agreement that they will take Berkley to her scheduled appointments. If you think Berkeley is the dog for you, please place your application and one of our volunteers will be in contact with you. Her adoption donation is $300!
