Learn more about the Maltese.

Sweet little Muffin was found as a stray and taken to a very crowded shelter.  She was so very scared there, we knew we had to get her out and into foster care!  Muffin is a maltese, about 4 or 5 years old and only 7 pounds.  Muffin has limited vision.  Please don't let that deter you from considering this little one - she is very capable and only needs someone to give her a chance to prove it!

Muffin is leash trained and crate trained.  She is doing well on her housetraining but please give her time to adjust to a new home and routine. She needs to get used to the new floor plan.    Another option such as potty pads could help her too.  Muffin is fine with other dogs and no issues with the cats in her foster home.  She is good with children but the children must also be respectful of her small size!  Muffin is a true little lap dog that enjoys being held and carried.  She is not nervous around new people and likes attention!  Muffin listens for her foster mom and follows her voice!  She knows a whistle means she will get a treat!  Muffin needs a patient home that will give her time and love to adjust.  Muffin was just dumped on the streets because she wasn't perfect in her owners eyes - will she be perfect in  yours??

Muffin is scheduled to be vetted on 11/22.  She will be spayed if needed, brought up to date on her vaccines, microchipped, etc.  Her adoption fee will be $250.  Please apply on our website if you would like to give Muffin the best holiday season ever!
