UPDATE - Benji is currently on a medical hold!  He has a flea allergy and we are letting his skin heal a bit before he is adopted out! 

This happy boy is Benji!  He is a cute mix of Maltese and Shih Tzu.  Benji is 6 years old and weighs 13 pounds.  Benji's family moved to a place that could not accept dogs and he was taken to a local shelter.  They were very full and asked if we could help some of the dogs with foster homes!  Of course we could.

Benji is a good little dog.  He is very happy and always attentive to his foster mom.  He looks like he wants to tell her something all the time!  He is leash trained and crate trained.  Benji appears to be house trained but please expect some adjustment time.  he likes to be outside!  Benji is good with other little dogs but does not seem to enjoy the company of large dogs.  Cats are fine and well behaved children too!  Benji does well in the car and enjoys going for ice cream with his foster family!  They like to take him on walks and he enjoys making new friends!  Benji's biggest fault is that he barks when he meets new people - he just barks at that until he is acknowledged!  His foster mom is working with him on this habit but we just need to let potential adopters know he is vocal!

Benji is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm neg, flea/worm treated and has been given a dental.  His adoption fee is $250 - please apply on our website if you are interested!
